LaunchDarkly is the world's leading Feature Management Platform serving over 20 trillion feature flags daily to help software teams build better software, faster. Product and development teams often utilize LaunchDarkly feature flags to control feature entitlements for a designated segment or group of users, effectively gating access for betas, trials, custom features, and more.
The LaunchDarkly app gives you and your team members a read-only view of your feature flags. Once installed, agents can see the flag variations LaunchDarkly serves to your customers without leaving Zendesk, thus dramatically shortening the time to close tickets. This app reduces administrative toil, boosts customer support productivity, and increases customer satisfaction.
Data Handling & Privacy
The LaunchDarkly app accesses Zendesk data only as needed to display flag variations on the ticket sidebar. Specifically, the app reads the ticket requester's User or Organization custom field that you configure as the LaunchDarkly context key, and uses that value to look up the corresponding feature flag variations from LaunchDarkly.
The following data is transmitted between Zendesk and LaunchDarkly:
The configured context key value from the requester's User or Organization field
The LaunchDarkly project key, environment key, and optional tag filter you provide during installation
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. The app stores only the configuration settings and OAuth credentials required to connect to LaunchDarkly; no Zendesk ticket content, agent activity, or customer support data is stored outside of your Zendesk and LaunchDarkly accounts. The app does not transmit data to any third party other than LaunchDarkly.

Installationsanweisungen
- Navigate to the Admin tab in Zendesk
- Under Apps, select Manage.
- Click on LaunchDarkly.
Enter the LaunchDarkly project and environment keys that you would like to associate with customer tickets in Zendesk.
Add an optional tag filter you would like to use to limit the feature flags displayed in the app.
If your team targets features at the organization level, check the box next to 'LaunchDarkly user key is an Organization field'.
Enter the custom User or Organization field that your team uses as the context key when evaluating feature flags.
Select whether or not you would like to enable role or group restrictions.
- Under 'OAuth Authentication', click Authorize with LaunchDarkly. A new tab opens.
Click Authorize. You are returned to the integration configuration page.
To save your settings, click Update.
