About this app
DeveloperHub is a documentation platform that helps software companies write, publish, and maintain product documentation, API references, developer guides, and knowledge bases from one place. DeveloperHub Docs brings that same published documentation into Zendesk Support, so agents can answer tickets with the exact page a customer needs.
Support agents spend a surprising amount of time hunting for the right documentation page and pasting URLs by hand. This app puts your published DeveloperHub documentation in the ticket sidebar. Agents type a query, see matching pages with the surrounding context, and add an accurate deep link to their reply in a single click. Links point at the exact heading that matched, so customers land on the answer rather than the top of a long page.
What it does:
Search your published DeveloperHub documentation without leaving the ticket.
Insert a link to the matching page as a rich hyperlink, as Markdown, or as a plain URL.
Deep links that open at the exact heading the agent selected.
Search your default version, a specific version, or every published version.
Install once per project to support teams that maintain several products.
Data and privacy: The app sends only the search text an agent types in the sidebar to the DeveloperHub search API at api.developerhub.io. No ticket content, requester data, or agent identity ever leaves Zendesk, and the app stores no data of its own. The DeveloperHub API key is stored by Zendesk as a secure setting and injected server-side, so it never reaches the agent's browser, and the app makes no calls to any Zendesk API. For full details, see our privacy policy at https://developerhub.io/privacy.

Installationsanweisungen
Before you start, you need a Zendesk administrator account and a DeveloperHub project with published documentation on a plan that includes the search API.
Create a DeveloperHub API key. In DeveloperHub, open the project you want agents to search, go to Project settings and then API keys, and select Create key. Under permissions, enable Search. Save the key and copy it.
Install DeveloperHub Docs from the Zendesk Marketplace. Zendesk opens the app settings form as soon as the install finishes.
Configure the app. Paste the key you copied into the DeveloperHub API key field. Optionally set the Documentation version (enter "latest" for your default published version, a version slug such as "v2" to pin one version, or leave it blank to search every published version) and the Link format ("rich" for a clickable hyperlink, "markdown" for Markdown, or "url" for a plain web address).
Select Install to save. Open any ticket, find the DeveloperHub Docs panel in the right-hand sidebar, type at least two characters to search, and select Insert link to add a link to your open reply.
To search more than one project, install the app once per project, each with its own API key. A full setup and troubleshooting guide is available at https://github.com/developerhub-io/zendesk-app.
