Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to configure Ticket Merger Pro:

  1. Install: Click 'Install' to add the app to your Zendesk account.
  2. Configure Settings: During installation (or by going to Admin Center > Apps and integrations > Zendesk Support apps), configure your specific rules:
    • Target Status: Enter the status for merged tickets (e.g., closed or solved).
    • Primary Match Identifier: Choose how to match duplicates (e.g., email or external_id).
    • Strict Brand Matching: Toggle on to restrict merges to the same brand.
    • Ignored Tags (Whitelist): Enter tags that the app should never merge (e.g., urgent).
    • Success Tag: Optional tag to apply to the surviving ticket for reporting.
  3. Save: Save your app configuration.
  4. Use: Open any ticket. The app will instantly scan for duplicates and appear in the right-hand Apps sidebar.
