About the App
Ticket Form De-Activator by Kundelab helps Zendesk admins control access to the ticket form selector inside the Agent Workspace. It prevents unauthorized or accidental changes to the ticket form, ensuring that only the right users can modify ticket structure.
With a simple configuration in Zendesk Admin Center, you can:- Restrict form editing for selected groups, roles, or user tags.- Allow specific agents to edit forms using a whitelist tag override.- Show a minimal in-app indicator so agents know when form locking is active.- Automatically support both light and dark mode themes.
This lightweight app is built entirely on the Zendesk App Framework (ZAF) and does not require any external servers, APIs, or data storage. It is designed to be simple, secure, and transparent.

Data Handling and Privacy
The Ticket Form De-Activator app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or customer data. All logic runs locally within the Zendesk interface using the Zendesk App Framework (ZAF). The app only reads the currently logged-in agent’s role, groups, and tags as provided by Zendesk to determine access behavior. No data leaves Zendesk.

How to install Disable Form Change
Upload the app via Zendesk Admin Center → Apps & Integrations → Upload App.
Open the app’s settings and configure the fields below.
Parameters
Excluded Groups
Comma-separated list of group names whose members will have the ticket form locked.Excluded Roles
Comma-separated list of role names or IDs whose members will have the ticket form locked.- For standard roles use
admin
,agent
,light_agent
. For custom roles use their numeric ID (visible in Admin Center → Roles → URL).
Excluded User Tags
Comma-separated list of user tags. Agents with any of these tags will have the ticket form locked.Enable Tag Whitelist
If enabled, only agents with the specified whitelist tag(s) can edit the ticket form. This overrides all exclusions.Whitelist Tags
Comma-separated list of tags that allow the agent to edit the ticket form even if they would otherwise be locked.
Finish Setup
Click Update to save your changes.
The app will now disable the form for all agents that match your restrictions.
